Moscow. January 31. INTERFAX-AVN-The military will work on February 4-5 near St. Petersburg to repel an air strike of a simulated enemy using the S-400 Triumph air defense systems, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"Anti-aircraft gunners will deploy anti-aircraft missile systems in combat order in a complex jamming situation with the use of electronic warfare and simulated air raid of a simulated enemy, work out elements of masking equipment, repelling reconnaissance and sabotage groups, perform practical tasks to repel an air strike of a simulated enemy with electronic launches on air targets," the military department said in a statement.
S-400 "Triumph" anti - aircraft missile system long-range (JSC "EKO Concern "Almaz-Antey"), capable of ranges up to 400 km to hit aerodynamic targets, and ranges up to 60 km - ballistic targets flying at speeds of up to 4.8 km/s at altitudes from a few meters to several tens of kilometers.
The S-400 is in service with the Russian Aerospace Forces. The system is designed to defeat strategic and tactical aircraft, ballistic missiles, hypersonic targets and other means of air attack in the conditions of electronic and other types of counteraction.
