Moscow. January 28. INTERFAX-Shvabe Holding of Rostec State Corporation has implemented the first stage of creating an intelligent transport system (ITS) in Saratov.
"The technical solution implemented by Shvabe specialists will provide integrated management of urban transport, optimize traffic flows and relieve the city streets. The work is being carried out within the framework of the national project "Safe and High - quality Highways"," the press service of the holding said in a statement on Thursday.
Integrated into the infrastructure of the regional customer, the ITS integration platform, consisting of 11 modules and nine subsystems, will monitor the operation of traffic lights, video surveillance cameras and weight and size control systems. In addition, it is able to optimize the routes of urban public transport and help in solving other urgent problems.
Ivan Mordanov, Deputy Director for Development and Operation of ITS Shvabe-Moscow, notes that today the integration platform implemented by the holding at the first stage "allows you to regulate the actions of video recording cameras and weight and size control systems."
"The advantage of this solution is the ability to work with any type of equipment, regardless of the manufacturer, date of manufacture and commissioning. However, for the full and most effective functioning of ITS in the city, it is necessary to create a single control center. It will combine the functions of all state structures involved in the management of the transport complex of the Saratov city agglomeration," Mordanov said, as quoted by the press service.
