MOSCOW, January 24 - RIA Novosti. In Russia, it is planned to test the latest guided 152-millimeter artillery shell for howitzers, according to materials posted on the state procurement website.
As follows from the documents, preliminary tests of the prototype 152-mm guided high-explosive projectile 3OF95 will be carried out. The shooting is planned to be carried out at the training ground in the Nizhny Novgorod region from towed howitzers "Msta-B" and D-20, as well as self-propelled artillery installations "Acacia" and "Msta-S".
As an informed source told RIA Novosti, " the new projectile will receive several variants of homing heads, as well as inertial and satellite navigation systems."
The agency's interlocutor added that " currently, work is underway to create a whole line of new guided high-precision projectiles of increased range, including for use as part of the Coalition-SV complex.
Earlier, the media reported on the work on the Krasnopol-D projectile with a firing range of up to 43 kilometers.
Currently, a number of tank and howitzer guided missiles are used in Russia. In particular, self-propelled artillery installations use the Krasnopol projectile, which is capable of hitting targets with high accuracy at a range of up to 25 kilometers. This munition was used in Syria to destroy terrorists.
