Moscow. January 22. INTERFAX-Russia will present a model of the fifth-generation Su-57E fighter at the Aero India 2021 exhibition, the Rostec State Corporation told Interfax on Friday.
"It is planned to show a model of the Su-57E, a full-scale sample will not be presented. The model gives a complete and visual representation of this latest combat vehicle,"said a representative of Rostec.
The Su-57 may be presented at the Aero India air show (Bangalore, February 3-5), The Economic Times newspaper reported on Thursday, citing sources familiar with the preparations for the exhibition.
In March 2020, the head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia, Dmitry Shugaev, said in an interview with Interfax that Russia plans to present the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter at a foreign air show.
"I do not rule out that in the future we will show the Su-57 at one of the foreign air shows. Of course, they are interested in this aircraft, but this is still a certain next stage, the second step after we have made more progress on the Su-35, " Shugaev said at the time.
In August 2019, Rosoboronexport reported that the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter received export documentation, and now it is possible to start negotiations on its sale to foreign customers. Soon after, the Su-57E was first presented at the MAKS static exhibition and shown to Turkish President Recep Erdogan. Following the results of the exhibition, Rosoboroneskport announced a sharp increase in interest in the Su-57 from foreign customers.
