Russian shells of the Krasnopol complex were effectively used in Syria, including those created in the 40s of the last century with 152-mm D-20 howitzer guns.

Video materials have appeared on the Web showing the process of preparing for the combat use of these laser - guided munitions.
Aiming at the detected firing points of illegal terrorist groups was carried out with the help of a target designator-rangefinder. All identified targets were hit with high accuracy.
According to military expert Yuri Lyamin, the video captures the work of Iranian gunners who fought in this "hot spot". Apparently, the fighting took place in 2016 in the Allepo area.
"It is known that Iran has established its own production of similar projectiles, but they have a caliber of 155 mm and their use is impossible from guns of this type," explains Lyamin.
In addition to the D-20, the Krasnopoli were also part of the ammunition of the more modern 2A65 Msta-B fighters who were smashing in Syria.
Russian complexes are considered one of the best in their class, currently created modifications that can destroy the enemy at a distance of 25,000 meters.
In this case, targets, including moving ones, are hit by the first shot, without any sighting.
