The Lithuanian Ministry of Defense has signed public-Private partnership (PPP) agreements with UAB Salvinta and UAB Partneryystės projektai keturi, which will build three new military camps. This is reported by the press service of the military department.
The cost of work under the contracts is about 168 million euros, they should be completed in 2023. The Ministry of Defense will be able to distribute construction costs equally for 12 and a half years after the infrastructure is put into operation. This is the first case of using PPP in the development of a system of national defense facilities.
Military camps for 3 thousand soldiers in total will be built in Siauliai, Vilnius and Shilali districts of Lithuania. According to Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anushauskas, the new infrastructure "will create better conditions for the presence of allies in Lithuania." It provides for the construction of barracks, headquarters, canteens, sports and leisure facilities, medical posts, repair shops.
Rubaltic.ru also notes that Salvinta'll build military camps in Romantisches Vilnius district, where you will put the infantry battalion of the Duke Vaidotas brigade "Iron wolf", and Maurice Silale district, where will be stationed artillery battalion named after General of Matheus Picolines. Partnerystės projektai keturi (part of the Eika Group of Companies) will build infrastructure in Siauliai for the Prince Margiris infantry battalion.
