MOSCOW, December 31. /TASS/. Gazprom and Roscosmos have signed a cooperation agreement, under which the production of civil spacecraft, in particular Yamal satellites and Earth-sensing devices, will be created, the gas holding said in a statement. The production will be established in the Moscow region.
The issue of Roscosmos joining the authorized capital of the project operator Gazprom SPKA is also being discussed. "The document, in particular, reflects the interest of the state corporation in creating spacecraft at the facilities of the SPCA," the report says.
The company is also able to assemble and test serial small spacecraft within the framework of the promising program "Sphere", which is implemented by Roscosmos. The state Corporation is interested in creating other spacecraft at the SCPA facilities.
In 2024, Roscosmos plans to launch the Smotr-v satellite, which will be equipped, among other things, with equipment for monitoring greenhouse gas emissions.
