On December 21, 2020, Hungarian Deputy defense Minister Gaspar Marot announced that more than 300 MRAP-class Ejder Yalçın armored vehicles with a 4x4 wheel formula developed and manufactured by the Turkish company Nurol Makina will be purchased for the Hungarian armed forces. At the same time, the Assembly of most of the cars (which will receive the Hungarian designation Gidran in honor of the breed of Hungarian racehorses) will be carried out in Hungary at a joint venture with the German group Rheinmetall.

Earlier in 2018, the Hungarian Defense Ministry signed a contract with Nurol Makina for the purchase of the first batch of ten Ejder Yalçın 4x4 armored vehicles, which were delivered in 2020 (pictured). Now a framework agreement has been concluded for the purchase of "more than 300" Ejder Yalçın (Gidran) armored vehicles, of which the first 40 already contracted will be manufactured in Turkey by Nurol Makina, and the rest (up to 280 units) should be assembled in Hungary.

Accordingly, on December 18, the Rheinmetall group signed an agreement with the Hungarian company HT Division Zrt (which had previously signed a corresponding agreement with Nurol Makina) to establish a joint venture for the production of Ejder Yalçın (Gidran) machines in Hungary, which will be located in Kaposvar. The joint venture is expected to start operating in 2021. It is assumed that the Hungarian vehicles will be equipped with German-made surveillance and communication equipment, which will be supplied by Rheinmetall, and in the future it is planned to use them on vehicles and combat modules manufactured by Rheinmetall. The company will have the right to export combat vehicles assembled there.

The HT Division Zrt company plans to organize the assembly of another lighter armored vehicle (4x4) developed and produced by the Turkish company Nurol Makina - NMS (Yörük) at this enterprise, and, perhaps, it will receive the Hungarian name Komondor (previously, this designation had a line of non-mrap-like vehicles of the Hungarian company Gamma MszSzaki Zrt). In 2019, the NMS (Yörük) machine was demonstrated in Hungary together with Ejder Yalçın.

On the bmpd side, the Ejder Yalçın 4x4 MRAP class armored vehicle was first introduced by Nurol Makina in 2012. The machine with a full combat weight of up to 18 tons (in the latest versions) has a capacity of 11 people and a very high declared level of protection STANAG 4569 Level 4a/3b. The body has a modular design and when reconfigured allows you to place up to 4 tons of payload. In 2014, the first 11 production Ejder Yalçın vehicles were delivered to the Turkish police, and in August 2016, the Turkish army contracted 50 Ejder Yalçın vehicles in the TTZA modification (also referred to as Ejder Yalçın II) with remote-controlled Aselsan SARP machine gun modules, as a kind of lightweight MRAP, deliveries of which began in 2017. In total, according to some reports, the Turkish army and gendarmerie have so far contracted up to 400 Ejder Yalçın 4x4 vehicles.

Since 2017, Ejder Yalçın 4x4 vehicles have also been exported, and to date, according to known information, they have been received by Tunisia, Senegal, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan (where they are also planned to be assembled), and the largest contracts for it were signed by Qatar, which ordered them. As reported, several hundred cars in a modified version of the Ejder Yalçın III.

The 10-ton light armored vehicle NMS (Yörük), was first demonstrated by Nurol Makina in 2017, the first known customer was Qatar.
