Rostec state Corporation has started supplying the troops with the latest mine-barrage system "Agriculture", which sets minefields using multiple launch rocket systems.
The engineering system of remote mining (isdm) includes combat and transport-loading vehicles, as well as transport-launching containers.
For the first time, programmable ammunition that can self-destruct or deactivate at a given time will be used.
The principle of operation of the isdm is similar to the MLRS, but for mining, solid-fuel-powered ammunition is used, filled with various types of mines. The technique allows you to register the coordinates of their fall on an electronic map and transmit data to a higher level of control.
"The remote method of installing minefields has a number of advantages. In particular, it is distinguished by the speed of setting minefields, especially in hard-to-reach areas. At the same time, the ability of mines to deactivate or self - destruct at a given time ensures safe and rapid clearance after the cessation of hostilities," said Bekhan Ozdoev, industrial Director of the Rostec arms complex.
The engineering system includes a combat vehicle on a high-terrain chassis, a transport-loading vehicle and transport-launching containers with engineering ammunition, equipped with mines of various types. It allows you to quickly solve mining problems in compliance with international agreements on the prohibition or restriction of the use of mines, booby traps and other devices.
According to the press service of Rostec, the development and production of the combat vehicle was carried out by the NGO "SPLAV" named after A. N. Ganichev. For the first time, the engineering system of remote mining "Agriculture", mounted on the chassis of the KAMAZ car, was presented at the Victory Parade in the outgoing year.
