A pair of Turkish F-16 fighter jets entered Greek airspace over the Eastern Aegean sea without submitting a preliminary flight plan.
Fighting machine the Turkish air force flew over the Islands Eunos and Panagia. This was reported by the newspaper Kathimerini with reference to the General staff of the Greek armed forces.
The aircraft entered Greek airspace and flew over the two Islands at an altitude of 7.3 km.
Turkish F-16s were detected and intercepted by Greek fighters in accordance with international rules of engagement, the General staff of the Greek armed forces said, without specifying other details of the incident.
