On December 18, 2020, the Qatari capital Doha hosted a parade of the Qatari armed forces in honor of the National day of this state, celebrated on the anniversary of the ascension to the throne in 1878 of Sheikh Jasim bin Muhammad al Thani, considered the founder of modern Qatar.
