Novosibirsk. December 21. INTERFAX-SIBERIA-the Buk-M3 medium-range anti-Aircraft missile systems have entered combat duty for the first time to protect the airspace in the Central military district, the press service of the district reports.
"They are stationed in the Altai territory," the report says.
It is noted that after putting the Buk-M3 complexes on combat duty, the Altai connection increased its combat capabilities five times, and without expanding the staff and official composition.
Earlier, the personnel of the unit stationed in Biysk were retrained on "Buk-M3", calculations were performed live firing at the Kapustin Yar training ground in the Astrakhan region, and transferred to the point of permanent deployment, where all the necessary maintenance work was performed.
