Moscow. December 16. INTERFAX-The new regional passenger plane IL-114-300 made its first test flight on Wednesday, the press service of Rostec reported.
The flight took place at the airport in Zhukovsky. The flight task included checking the operating modes of the power plant, the stability and controllability of the aircraft, and the functioning of its systems.
"In 2022, UAC plans to complete the certification of the IL-114-300, and from 2023 to start its serial deliveries, "said Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov, quoted by the press service.
The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said that the IL-114-300 production program involves the production of up to 100 cars by 2030. They are planned to be delivered "to civil aviation, state customers, for export".
"With the receipt of the type certificate in 2022, the first production aircraft will be prepared for delivery through the STLC. The first operator will be Polar Airlines, " the Minister said.
In turn, Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov said that the new regional aircraft will help increase the mobility of Russian citizens.
"Local airlines, dozens of airfields, including in Siberia and the Far East, will be able to operate this machine. The IL-114 can be used on poorly equipped platforms, on short runways and on unpaved surfaces, " the Deputy Prime Minister said.
He said that the IL-114-300 will be able to be manufactured in special versions: it can be used as a patrol aircraft, for the needs of air ambulance, with the installation of a ski-wheeled chassis - for polar aviation.
The United Engine Corporation said that the first flight of the aircraft showed the capabilities of the engines-TV7-117ST-01.
"It was this power plant that ensured the successful first flight of the IL-114 aircraft. The engine is powerful, economical and easy to maintain. It is absolutely indispensable for small regional aircraft with the peculiarities of runways at small airports and is maximally adapted for such conditions," said Alexander Artyukhov, General Director of UEC JSC, whose words were quoted in the press service.

Il-114-300 - an upgraded version of the IL-114-100, developed by the Ilyushin Design Bureau in the 1980s. it is designed to carry up to 68 passengers or up to 6.8 tons of cargo on regional airlines. Equipped with turboprop engines TV7-117ST-01 developed by JSC "UEC-Klimov". The range declared by the manufacturer with a maximum commercial load is 1.4 thousand km, the maximum altitude is 7.6 km, and the cruising speed is 500 km/h.
