MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. The head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, suggested that NASA Finance the creation of a docking gateway compatible with the Russian ship at the American lunar station, so that if necessary, the Russians could save the US crew.
Rogozin noted that he made such an offer to NASA Director Jim Bridenstine. "I say: look, you can certainly send your ideas in different directions there, but you just have to make a gateway for your own money, this is in your own interests, the American interests, the interests of your vital crew. A gateway that will be adapted to the Russian ship. So that, if necessary, we can approach your ship, pick up your crew and return to Earth, " Rogozin said at a round table in the Federation Council devoted to US policy in the field of space exploration.
According to him, the cosmic reality, the "aggressive space" itself "does not allow playing politics where we are talking about long distances."
"That is, if something suddenly happens to the American Orion spacecraft and its crew in lunar orbit, no one except Russia, and no one except, I hope, China, in the future <...> will be able to save the American crew," the head of Roscosmos stressed.
