Chinese military personnel stationed on the border with India began receiving passive exoskeletons. With the help of devices, soldiers of the people's liberation army of China will be able to carry heavy loads without significant effort in Tibetan Ladakh at an altitude of about 5,000 meters.
A video that appeared on social networks shows preparations for the Assembly of exoskeletons and their direct use by border guards.
According to dambiev, engineers from the PLA national defense University took part in the development of the device.
The exoskeleton has a maximum load capacity of 70 kilograms.
It works by accumulating and releasing energy without servos, Pneumatics, hydraulics, or electrics. Tests have confirmed an increase in the user's endurance up to 91 percent in static and up to 44 percent in dynamic, as well as a 30 percent reduction in the load on the back when carrying heavy loads.
Note that in early October, the Chinese army began receiving numerous types of new equipment designed for service in various conditions.
