MOSCOW, November 25/ Radio Sputnik. The Indian military delegation expressed a desire to conduct joint exercises with Russia in the Baltic sea, [...] the press service of the Western military district reported.
The issue was raised during the Protocol meeting of the naval attache at the Indian Embassy in Russia, Commodore Manish Chadha, with the commander of the Baltic fleet, Admiral Alexander Nosatov, during the visit of the Indian military delegation to Kaliningrad.
The parties discussed issues of naval cooperation between the two countries in the field of joint exercises at sea.
"During the exchange of views, the Indian side expressed a desire to conduct joint exercises of the fleets of the two countries in the Baltic sea and take part in events celebrating the Day of the Russian Navy," the message reads.
Alexander Nosatov noted the high level of training of Indian military seamen in the framework of the joint anti-piracy exercise "Indra-2019", held in December last year.
Earlier, Sputnik radio reported that the media fear a "third world war" because of incidents with US destroyers.
