The Russian cargo spacecraft Progress MS-14 will set a record for the longest stay in space. This was reported on November 25 by RIA Novosti with reference to the preliminary work program of the International space station (ISS).
The spacecraft, launched on the ISS on April 25 this year, will be de-orbited in April-may 2021. Thus, Progress MS-14 will stay on the station for 370 days, which is 47 days more than the previous record set by the Progress M-17 ship in 1993-1994.
The Progress MS-14 spacecraft delivered 2.5 tons of cargo to the ISS, including 1.35 tons in the cargo compartment: containers with food, medicines, sanitary and hygienic supplies for the crew, equipment for the ISS onboard systems, and equipment for conducting experiments. The ship also brought 650 kg of fuel for refueling the station, 46 kg of oxygen and 420 liters of drinking water.
In addition, on Board the Progress MS-14 there were symbols for the 75th anniversary of Victory in the great Patriotic war and an electronic carrier with the names of its participants — a kind of "Immortal regiment".
