The national people's army of Algeria demonstrated the use of the Iskander-e tactical missile system for the first time. The video is published on the Internet.
The Russian complex was used during large-scale exercises that took place on November 13 this year. An Algerian military blogger reported that footage of the shooting was shown by a national TV channel. In the story, you can see other samples of military equipment and aircraft purchased from Russia.
Algeria, as dambiev recalls, acquired four Iskander-e missile systems, becoming the second foreign recipient of this weapon system. The contract was signed in 2013.
The Iskander-e mobile operational and tactical complex is designed to destroy ground command posts, large groups of troops, air defense and missile DEFENSE facilities, and means of fire destruction with high-precision missiles. Features of the system are automation of combat control, high tactical maneuverability and the ability to hit targets when the enemy uses countermeasures.
