The radio engineering regiment of the air force and air defense Association of the Central military district (CVO), stationed in the Novosibirsk region, received a new low-altitude radar detection system "Podlet". This is reported by the Ministry of defense of the Russian Federation.
The system is able to detect and track targets, including unobtrusive ones, at low and extremely low altitudes in conditions of natural and set interference.
Earlier it was reported that the Novosibirsk radio engineering regiment received a mobile radio altimeter PRV-13P.
The Podlet complex is designed to track the air situation and detect targets at low and extremely low altitudes. At the same time, the complex is able to find targets over a wooded, mid-terrain area, as well as in conditions where the enemy uses passive, active or combined interference.
Also, the station is able to continue working in case of fire suppression attempts.
