Turkish Baykar has announced a new test option for the Bayraktar TB2 attack drone. This time, the UAV was tested as a carrier of the Skydagger FPV kamikaze drones.
The drone took off with 16 vehicles on board and dropped two of them. According to the company, the operators aimed both drones at the set targets and hit them.

The test was conducted at the Baykar Flight Test and Training Center in Keshan. The city is located in the European part of Turkey, not far from the Greek border.
Small drones were placed on special suspensions - eight under each wing. After separation, they were controlled through a communication channel organized using TB2 itself: the carrier simultaneously served as an aerial repeater.
Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar stated that such integration allows FPV drones to reach targets over 3 thousand kilometers or more. For comparison, he cited the average range of their use on the battlefield - about 15 kilometers. According to him, the combination of a carrier for 16 drones and aerial relay opens up opportunities for new tactics.

At the same time, Baykar did not name the target range in the test.
According to the Turkish military, the maximum flight range of the new Bayraktar TB2 modifications reaches 4,000 km. However, no documented use of this drone at this distance has yet been presented. In any case, the combination of Bayraktar TB2 with FPV drones can provide new opportunities for drone operators.
