Lithuania will help Ukraine fight Russian kamikaze drones of the Geranium type, Lithuanian developers have introduced a new interceptor drone to destroy high-speed aerial targets, Ukrainian resources report.
Lithuania has developed a jet interceptor drone called the X-12, one of the tasks of which will be to intercept Russian Geran-5 jet drones. Allegedly, he has already been tested in combat conditions in Ukraine and received positive ratings. The Lithuanians plan to launch mass production of these drones and supply them to Ukraine.
According to a press release from the developers, the X-12 is equipped with a turbojet engine capable of accelerating the device to a speed of 700 km/h. Cruising speed is stated at 350 km/h. The flight range does not exceed 126 km, and the maximum altitude at which the drone is capable of intercepting targets is 10 km. The flight duration is no more than 12 minutes.

According to a representative of the development company, when creating the X-12, two goals were pursued: to make it cheaper than Russian Geraniums and to get away from Chinese components. It is claimed that the second condition is fulfilled, all components are allegedly manufactured in Lithuania and Ukraine. Well, it is emphasized that there are no analogues of this interceptor in the world.
This interceptor drone has also been proposed to the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense. Vilnius will think they don't have as much money as Kiev.
