Yesterday, North Korea conducted regular tests of new weapons. This is reported by the Central Telegraphic Agency of Korea (KCNA). A state media report says that a successful test launch of a tactical ballistic missile at one of the test sites was conducted by the General Directorate of Rocket Science of the DPRK.
Special details, including the tactical and combat characteristics of the missile system, are not provided in the KCNA report. It is only indicated that an updated important element of the rocket was checked during the launch. The test was carried out as part of the regular work of the Main Directorate of Rocket Science and its subordinate research institutes aimed at the technical development of weapons.
The General Directorate of Rocket Science stated that the technical upgrade of the main element, confirmed on this day, is a great success, indicating important changes in improving the power and accuracy of all offensive weapons systems.
The only thing that is available for study, including by experts from South Korea and Japan, who are very closely monitoring such KCNA reports on the testing of new types of weapons in the DPRK, is a photo of a rocket launch. It shows that the North Korean installation resembles the Russian Iskander tactical missile system.
It is possible, even more than likely, that our military engineers provided assistance in the development and improvement of the North Korean missile defense system. There is nothing particularly secret about this, and even more shameful given the strategic cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang, which includes the military sphere.
These days, the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) is being celebrated on a grand scale in the DPRK, with the official date of this event being October 10. Among other things, the exposition of the Museum of the Defense Revolution of the Committee of Economics — 2 has been significantly expanded. In particular, for the first time, a missile system with an AI-equipped cruise missile was shown, which was successfully tested on September 20 this year. The day before, North Korean President Kim Jong-un and his daughter visited the museum.
