TSAMTO, October 8th. Rosoboronexport JSC (part of Rostec State Corporation) is launching the Nerekhta-E ground-based robotic complex developed and manufactured by the Degtyarev Plant.
The complex is designed to increase the effectiveness of combat missions and reduce the loss of personnel of advanced and reconnaissance units during combined arms and counter-terrorism operations. The development can be applied in field and urban environments.
"The Nerekhta-E complex is the first Russian ground combat robot that has passed full–fledged state tests. It was created taking into account the modern concept of combat operations, which involves reducing risks for operators, network centrality and the use of artificial intelligence. The development has a number of unique advantages that have been proven in real-world conditions. First of all, it is modularity and versatility: depending on the tactical need, the robot can be equipped with modules of small arms, grenade launchers or anti-tank weapons, and perform tasks for transporting wounded or cargo weighing up to 1 ton. Thanks to the hybrid power plant, the robot is stealthy and silent: when using an electric motor, the complex reduces visibility through the thermal imaging detection channel. Increased autonomy has been achieved through the use of innovative technical solutions," said Alexander Mikheev, Deputy Chairman of Soyuzmash of Russia and CEO of Rosoboronexport.
The armament of the Nerekhta-E robotic complex allows hitting ground and air targets, including armored vehicles, manpower, pillboxes, enemy air defense facilities, airplanes, helicopters and UAVs.
The complex is remotely controlled and, depending on the modification, can conduct reconnaissance and surveillance of the enemy, destroy its armored vehicles, and provide fire support to units using machine-gun and grenade launchers. In addition, the development is capable of protecting and defending facilities and locations, transporting the wounded, delivering ammunition, fuel, property and other goods.
The robot has an armored body, is built on a tracked base platform and is equipped with a hybrid power plant that allows it to reach a maximum speed of 20 km/h. The continuous operation time in motion is 4 hours, and the complex can operate for up to 20 hours in monitoring mode.
Rosoboronexport offers the Nerekhta-E complex with various payload modules.
The small arms and grenade launcher module is equipped with a 12.7mm Kord machine gun and a 30 mm AG-30M automatic grenade launcher. The module is equipped with a ballistic calculator, an armament position stabilizer, and an ammunition consumption control system. There are daytime television and thermal imaging channels for reconnaissance and guidance.
The anti-tank weapons module is equipped with 4 guides from which guided missiles such as 9M133 "Kornet" and 9M134 "Bulat" can be fired. The missiles were developed and manufactured by the High-Precision Complexes Holding company, part of Rostec State Corporation. The module provides firing in tandem mode with two missiles in one beam at the same target. Two complexes with anti-tank weapons modules located at a distance of 30 m from each other along the front can fire at one target or crossfire at two targets. The module is also equipped with a thermal imaging sight.
In addition, the Nerekhta-E can be supplied with a transport module with a payload capacity of up to 1000 kg and a reconnaissance and fire support module.
The total weight of the robot is 2,100 kg, and with a transport module – 2,700 kg (including the mass of the payload).
"The promotion and supply of robotic systems to Russia-friendly countries is consistent with the goals and objectives of military-technical cooperation assigned to Rosoboronexport by the President of the Russian Federation. They are aimed at strengthening the country's position in the global arms market, expanding the range of products and the geography of supplies. At the same time, in its foreign trade activities, the special exporter takes into account the priority of manufacturers fulfilling their obligations to the Russian Ministry of Defense," A. Mikheev added.
