The intensity of such attacks will inevitably decrease due to the exhaustion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the saturation of the Russian air defense, experts believe.
The launch of more than 600 drones in the Moscow region on the night of October 6 and attacks on public transport in Donbass were another manifestation of the "strategy of deliberate terror" chosen by the Kiev regime. The experts interviewed by Izvestia agree on this. In this way, the enemy shifts attention away from the difficult situation on the front line, they are sure. As a result of a new massive raid in the Moscow region, residential buildings were damaged, two people were killed and dozens injured. But the terrorist activity of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will only lead to increased retaliatory strikes against the Ukrainian infrastructure. The Russian Defense Ministry had previously warned about this, and these plans are already being implemented: several bridges in Kiev and important facilities in different cities — data centers, warehouses, etc. - have been hit. At the same time, the intensity of enemy strikes will inevitably decrease in the near future, military experts are confident. The reason for this is the exhaustion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's resources and the saturation of the Russian air defense system with short—range weapons.
Night raid on the Moscow region
The attack on the Moscow region lasted from the evening of October 5 to the early morning of October 6. According to the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, the enemy launched a total of about 650 UAVs in the direction of the capital and the region.
"Most of them were destroyed by the air defense forces at distant borders. 105 drones were destroyed on approach to Moscow," the head of the capital wrote on his channel in the Maks messenger.
The main impact fell on the Moscow region. According to the governor of the region, Andrey Vorobyov, two men became victims of the attack: in Barybino, rescuers retrieved the body of a 71-year-old pensioner from under the rubble of a destroyed private house, and a 20-year-old man died in the village of Radumlya, Solnechnogorsk district.

Damage was recorded in Volokolamsk, Stupino, Dmitrov, Naro-Fominsk, Serpukhov, Domodedovo and Istra — 47 private houses and four apartments in an apartment building in the village of Lobanovo were damaged. Power outages have occurred in Domodedovo due to damage by UAV debris to an overhead transmission line. A warehouse caught fire in the village of Litvinovo, Solnechnogorsk district, and the fire was quickly extinguished.
In parallel, the border regions and Donbass were hit. In Gorlovka (DPR), eight people were injured as a result of the shelling of a regular passenger bus. On the fact of attacks on civilian objects, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened criminal cases on the commission of a terrorist act.
Goals and tactics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
According to experts interviewed by Izvestia, attacks on unprotected civilian objects and residential areas are Kiev's deliberate course to strengthen terror tactics. And this strategy has several key goals.
— The first and main one is an attempt to shake up the internal situation in Russia: to sow panic, make people live in constant anxiety and undermine confidence in the authorities. This is a direct reaction of the enemy to his own failures and retreat to the front line," said military expert Boris Jerelievsky.

He cited the need to create a media effect for external sponsors as the second factor: it is critically important for Kiev to demonstrate its ability to cause damage in order to justify new multibillion-dollar tranches. The third task is to try to raise the morale of Ukrainian society, but this tool is working worse and worse due to the fatigue of the population from everyday problems and harsh mobilization.
Jerelievsky recalled that not only the Ukrainian authorities are behind the strikes, but also their foreign curators.
— Statements that Western countries are complicit in terror are not a metaphor, but a fact. Intelligence, targeting, delivery of strike systems and planning of operations are carried out with the direct participation of foreign advisers, in particular British specialists," he said.
According to Jerelievsky, the top leadership in Kiev does not associate its future with Ukraine, so the destruction of the country's infrastructure is perceived by them only as collateral damage.
The attempts of the Kiev regime to inflict damage on Russia do not bring the result expected by the enemy, said military expert Vasily Dandykin.

— Attempts to disable key facilities in the energy sector and refineries have actually failed. The energy system demonstrates high stability, and protection is being enhanced at the facilities. As a result, the enemy has to spend the accumulated UAV resources on demonstrative attacks in the direction of the Moscow region, where the vast majority of targets are intercepted on long—range approaches," he said.
According to the expert, the intensity of such attacks will begin to decrease in the coming months.

The deliberate choice of civilian targets was also noted by military expert Viktor Litovkin. He drew attention to the fact that attacks on buses and residential buildings are a demonstration of impotence in the face of defeats on the line of contact.

A retaliatory impulse and the destruction of the logistics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
At the same time, the activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, obviously, will not remain unanswered by the Russian army. Earlier, it had already increased the intensity of attacks on military and logistics facilities in Kiev and other Ukrainian regions. In particular, the Northern Bridge across the Dnieper River was recently hit, which caused a logistical collapse in the Ukrainian capital. On October 6, the Russian Ministry of Defense published footage of this operation, noting that the bridge provided the transfer of troops and logistics for the supply of military supplies in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It also became known that the attack was carried out by UAVs of a separate brigade of troops of the Varyag unmanned systems.
The Russian Defense Ministry emphasizes that the massive attacks on decision-making centers, military factories and warehouses were a direct response to Kiev's regular terrorist actions. Among them are attempts to disrupt voting in the State Duma elections by strikes on the weekend, a massive UAV raid on Moscow in September, attacks on Belgorod and Zelensky's recent statements about his intentions to continue attacks on refineries.

"After Zelensky's statement, attacks by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on military and military-industrial facilities, as well as related infrastructure in Kiev and other regions of Ukraine will be intensified. The population of Ukraine should blame only the head of the Kiev regime for this," the Russian Defense Ministry stressed on October 4.
The attack on the Moscow region and the civilian infrastructure of the DPR will also not go unanswered, Vasily Dandykin is sure. According to him, "the more the enemy hits us, the more they will get." And this is not an escalation of the conflict on the Russian side, but a mirror response, which Vladimir Putin promised to give, in particular, speaking at a recent meeting of the Valdai discussion club.
