The Almaz-Antey concern of East Kazakhstan Region plans to show for the first time an export version of the Harpy-A1 (E) long-range unmanned aerial system at the Vietnam Defense Show in Vietnam and Airshow China in China. The drone is a proprietary development of the concern.
According to Rosoboronexport, the unmanned aerial vehicle is designed to destroy stationary objects with fixed coordinates. The company claims a range of up to 1,000 km and a warhead weight of more than 50 kg. The specified flight altitude range is from 50 to 2500 meters. The speed will be at least 170 km/h. The maximum time spent in the air is at least six hours.
Rosoboronexport announced the launch of the Harpy A1 (E) in foreign markets last month. The upcoming demonstration of the platform at exhibitions will be the next step in introducing the complex to foreign customers, which in itself does not mean the conclusion of contracts.

At the end of last month, Alexander Mikheev, CEO of Rosoboronexport and Deputy Chairman of Soyuzmash, announced the start of mass production of the latest Harpy-A1 (E) export complex. He stressed that, first of all, the drones will be supplied as part of orders from the Russian Ministry of Defense. These attack UAVs have already been successfully used by the troops of the unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the special operation zone, including as carriers of FPV drones.
