At the MSPO exhibition in Poland, the Canadian company Zeal Motor presented the AMAV FT5 (known under the commercial brand as Fat Truck FT5 Wagon), an 8x8 articulated amphibious transporter designed for use in harsh Arctic conditions. Its high maneuverability and ability to overcome snowy expanses, blurred ground and water obstacles will ensure the supply of forces operating in remote northern areas.

The length of the car is 8,255 m, width is 2.54 m, ground clearance is 650 mm. The declared ground pressure at full load is only 13 kPa due to the use of special large ultra-low pressure tires. The product carries up to 1,814 kg of payload and accommodates 16 people: 4 seats are located in the front section and 12 in the rear.
The maximum speed is 50 km/h on land and 5 km/h on water, and the turning radius is 7.3 m. With an optional fuel tank, the power reserve ranges from 400 to 1000 km. The machine is designed to operate in the temperature range from -46°C to +30°C.

The power plant consists of a 5.2-liter inline four-cylinder Hatz diesel engine with 228 hp (170 kW), adapted for the use of JP-8 army fuel. The hydrostatic transmission uses a separate hydraulic motor for each of the 8 wheels, and the articulated hydraulic steering is carried out with just one joystick. This allows you to confidently overcome wetlands, unstable soils and water obstacles without prior preparation.
