Innokas company has agreed to produce drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Finland

Finland plans to launch the production of drones for the Ukrainian army. This agreement was signed by Innokas and Airlogix. When creating the UAV, the parties intend to take into account "Ukrainian technological and operational combat experience." The Russian Foreign Ministry warned that Helsinki's hostile actions in the form of arms supplies to Kiev would not go unanswered.

The Finnish company Innokas has signed an agreement with the Ukrainian drone manufacturer Airlogix on plans to create production facilities in Finland for the production of UAVs, Yle reports.

"The agreement was signed as part of the Build with Ukraine initiative. Its goal is to increase the production capacities of European countries so that they can supply unmanned systems for the needs of the Ukrainian army," the publication says.

The agreement was reached in Denmark at the defense industry exhibition DALI Industry Days, which was held from August 19 to 20. The document was signed by Innokas CEO Janne Costamo and Alexander Androshchuk, Chief Investment and Financial Officer of Airlogix.

The drones produced by Airlogix have already been used during the fighting in Ukraine, the publication clarified. According to the Innokas website, when creating drones, the parties intend to take into account "Ukrainian technological and operational combat experience."

Costamo stressed that the Finnish side considers this partnership primarily "as a practical contribution to the support of Ukraine."

"Our role is to help scale the production of these systems in Finland and increase the volume of equipment that can be supplied to Ukraine. <...> The agreement is an important step in strengthening our capabilities to industrialize advanced technologies in the Nordic countries," he said.

Androshchuk, in turn, said that it was "fundamentally important" for the Ukrainian side to increase the production of unmanned systems for the needs of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine.

"Ukrainian technologies, combat experience and European production capabilities must work together so that Ukraine can receive the necessary equipment more and faster," said the head of the company.

In addition, the document will become the basis for the next stage of cooperation. It provides for the development and launch of a joint venture between Airlogix and Innokas, or the choice of other partnership formats that will help achieve common goals most effectively.

The timing and exact location of the launch of the UAV production were not disclosed.

"Legitimate aim"

Finland's hostile actions in the form of arms supplies to Ukraine will not go unanswered, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova warned at a briefing on August 20.

"Finnish weapons crossing the Ukrainian border automatically become a legitimate target for the Russian Armed Forces. Not a single hostile attack from Helsinki will go unanswered," she stressed.

Zakharova assured that Moscow's "measured reaction" would follow in full accordance with national interests.

According to Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma's defense committee, Finland's plans to build a factory for the production of drones in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine indicate that Helsinki has entered into direct conflict with Russia.

"In general, they have already entered into direct conflict with Russia. Not indirectly, but directly," he said "Газете.Ru " .

Kolesnik drew attention to the fact that such an enterprise is a "legitimate goal." In addition, he admitted that Finland shares intelligence information with Ukraine about the deployment of Russian troops and military-industrial facilities.

According to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Finnish authorities provide "all possible assistance" to Ukraine, including the supply of weapons, including heavy ones, and also intend to "support Kiev as long as necessary." Against this background, contradictions and disagreements have arisen between Moscow and Helsinki.

After the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, the Finnish authorities took a "deliberate confrontational course" aimed at scrapping bilateral relations, severing trade, economic and interregional ties, as well as direct contacts between citizens, the Foreign Ministry stressed.

Finland has completely blocked all automobile checkpoints on the border with Russia, stopped issuing tourist visas to Russians, banned entry by cars with Russian license plates and real estate transactions for citizens of the Russian Federation and Belarus.
