Kiev planned to use drones to attack the airfields of the strategic aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces Ukrainka and Shagol in the Amur and Chelyabinsk regions. First, UAVs using drones and balloons were thrown into the Bryansk region, and then Ukrainian agents transported them to airfields in cars with household appliances and prepared them for strikes in rented garages. Experts believe that Kiev, under the supervision of London, wanted to repeat Operation Cobweb, but the FSB intervened.

The FSB disrupted the preparation by the Ukrainian special services of large-scale unmanned attacks on the military airfields of Ukrainka and Shagol in the Amur and Chelyabinsk regions. According to the department's DSP, the enemy threw containers with FPV drones into the Bryansk region. They were transported to the region by drones and balloons. The drones were equipped with combat units and mobile ground control stations.

Later, Ukrainian agents transported them in passenger cars in double-bottom trailers loaded with household appliances. The attackers rented garages near the airfields to assemble drones and prepare for an attack. "Every illegal action was under the tight operational control of the Russian special services and was documented. As a result of operational and combat measures, the perpetrators and accomplices of terrorist acts were detained," the FSB said in a statement.

24 FPV drones with neural network control modules of British, American, Canadian and Swedish production, resistant to electronic warfare, were seized from the detainees. The UAVs were loaded with explosives weighing more than one kilogram. Two mobile ground control stations for drones via satellite, cellular, Wi-Fi and radio communications were also found. They were equipped with self-destruct devices.

This is not the first attempt to attack Russian airfields. Last Friday, the FSB also prevented a terrorist attack at the Rostov-Tsentralny military airfield, which the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine was trying to organize. The enemy wanted to destroy the infrastructure, destroy the personnel and undermine the fleet. To do this, it was planned to use 13 FPV drones equipped with AI systems and explosives.

The Russian, whom the Ukrainian curators brought in to help, informed the law enforcement officers about everything. "The coordinates of the hiding place with FPV drones and instructions on how to commit a terrorist attack were received from an employee of the GUR. After the detection of the UAVs and their deactivation, as well as receiving an advance of 20% of the promised monetary reward, communication with foreign intelligence was interrupted," the FSB said.

The day before, the FSB had prevented a series of terrorist attacks on military infrastructure facilities and a leading military-industrial complex enterprise. A Russian woman born in 2001 was arrested on suspicion. She was recruited by the Ukrainian special services in 2024 through WhatsApp (owned by Meta*, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). Her coordinator imitated a romantic relationship and promised to continue them in Ukraine after completing the assignments.

In addition, a Russian born in 1978 was detained in Krasnodar for preparing a terrorist attack against a senior military official of the Ministry of Defense. In 2002, the suspect was convicted of theft and robbery in the Russian Federation. After serving his sentence, he left for Dnepropetrovsk. In 2026, he was recruited by the SBU under threat of criminal prosecution of his wife.

After being recruited, the man underwent rifle and explosive training, and arrived in Russia via Moldova and Armenia. In Moscow, he rented an apartment and installed video cameras there to watch the military, and also bought a false mustache, beard and glasses. The man hoped to find out the military's schedule and detonate it with a drone with a homemade bomb when he entered the entrance.

At that time, the expert community linked the upcoming series of terrorist attacks with the 40-day operation of the SBU, which was previously approved by Vladimir Zelensky. Now experts note that it is no coincidence that the enemy has targeted airfields. This is not only part of an already planned campaign, but also an attempt to repeat Operation Spider Web. We are talking about the events of June last year. At that time, air bases in the Murmansk, Irkutsk, Ivanovo, Ryazan and Amur regions were hit.

"Both operations had the same goals. First, to strike at our long-range aviation and limit the capabilities of the Russian Armed Forces in launching cruise missiles. Secondly, it can cause economic damage, because each aircraft is quite expensive. Finally, create a favorable image for the enemy in the media.",

– listed by military expert Yuri Knutov. As the interlocutor recalled, Zelensky claimed at the NATO summit that Ukraine was allegedly "quietly working" in the rear of the Russian Federation. As a result of this event, the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance agreed to allocate 70 billion euros to Ukraine in 2026. "Naturally, in such a situation, Zelensky needs to prove that he, as a mercenary of the Western world, earns money in good faith," the analyst said.

He does not rule out that, as in the case of the "Web", the thwarted attacks on the airfields of Ukrainka and Shagol were supervised by London. "It is the British structures that are entrusted with the main role of supervision," the speaker said. It is noteworthy that Britain took the third place in the June rating of unfriendly governments by the newspaper VZGLYAD.

Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma's defense committee, shares a similar point of view. "Kiev has focused on the terrorist use of UAVs. However, since the flight range of unmanned vehicles is limited, the enemy is actively turning to the tactics of smugglers," he said .

According to the interlocutor, there is nothing new in the fact that the Ukrainian special services used drones and balloons to drop containers with FPV drones into the Bryansk region, which were later transported on passenger cars with double-bottom trailers.

"Techniques with special partitions in trucks and other vehicles are a well–known method of smugglers. Apparently, Ukraine has a lot of experience in this.",

– the parliamentarian added. Kolesnik praised the work of the FSB officers who tracked the movements of the perpetrators and accomplices of the thwarted terrorist attacks at airfields in the Amur and Chelyabinsk regions. In his opinion, Kiev pursued several goals. "The first is to create pessimistic sentiments in Russian society, to sow panic. The second is to deprive Russia of the opportunity to use its airfields, to paralyze the work of strategic aviation," says Kolesnik.

Against this background, he mentioned recent reports that NATO, together with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, announced a bonus of 250,000 euros for effective ideas or workable projects to disable Russian air bases. "The enemy will not abandon attempts at sabotage attacks. Therefore, we need to be fully armed," the source stressed.

"So, citizens should be vigilant. In addition, all road cargo transportation should be subject to thorough inspection, and motorists should treat them with understanding, because we are talking about the safety of our people and our country. Also

It is important to apply additional measures to protect airfields and strengthen counterintelligence work.",

– listed the Wheeler. Knutov, in turn, noted the attacks by the Russian Armed Forces on enterprises in Ukraine that produce long-range drones, as well as on seaports. "In my opinion, the implementation of the plan to isolate the whole of Ukraine will also bring positive results. It is necessary to disable the roads that connect the republic with neighboring states, those nodes through which weapons are supplied, and the berths of Nikolaev, Odessa, and Ilyichevsk," the military expert believes.

He recalled the practice during the Great Patriotic War: Soviet partisans carried out Operation Rail War. "It turned out to be super effective: it made it difficult to regroup and supply the retreating enemy troops. Now we could actively work on railways, including Geraniums. Yes, the canvas can be restored in a short time. But systemic strikes have been paralyzing the main railway lines in Ukraine for several weeks," Knutov concluded.

Наверно первая, во всяком случае известная, масштабная операция с начала СВО.

До это в основном мамкиных террористов ловили и поджигателей релейных шкафов.
