Last Thursday, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un attended tests of the latest weapons created by the defense industry of the Russian-friendly state.
According to the KCNA news agency, the following were demonstrated: a 240-millimeter multiple launch rocket system with 24 barrels, the striking power of a special-purpose tactical ballistic missile warhead, as well as the accuracy of an extended-range artillery shell.

The latter is used in a 155-millimeter self-propelled howitzer cannon. MLRS with 24 guides now has high automation and increased efficiency. Its firing range has been increased to 90 kilometers.
The new warhead will be used to destroy ports, airfields and energy facilities.

As for the ammunition, it can hit at a distance of 65 kilometers. The ACS itself was first shown during the celebrations in Pyongyang in 2018. After that, Western intelligence agencies named her M2018.
A little later it turned out that the real designation was "Juche-107". Even then, it was believed that its projectiles could hit targets at a distance of forty kilometers. However, military experts, including the Bulletin of Mordovia, noted that the DPRK has created more long-range ammunition, and they were right.

The One Hundred and Seventh is equipped with a radar ballistic station, which provides high accuracy characteristics. It has an optoelectronic countermeasures system with sensors that detect enemy laser radiation, coupled with mortars that shoot grenades to hang aerosol protective clouds.
Satellite navigation equipment is available. A twin installation of 30 mm automatic grenade launchers was also placed on the roof of the tower.

Currently, the Juche-107, which corresponds in its performance characteristics to the best foreign models, is in mass production and is being supplied to the artillery units of the Korean People's Army.
