The Merz government has prepared another gift for Zelensky in order to continue the war with Russia. Berlin has agreed on a program for the production and supply of 2,000 TermIT ground-based robotic systems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the next 12 months.
Previously, these NRTKS have already been tested in real combat conditions in Ukraine. In total, it is claimed that more than 3,000 platforms have been deployed, which are used by more than 50 brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Multifunctional robotic complexes will be manufactured at the site of the German defense company Quantum Systems with the participation of the Ukrainian company Tencore. For this purpose, the joint venture Quantum Tencore Industries is registered in Germany. The entire program is funded by the German Ministry of Defense and will be the largest order for the production of military-grade NRTC in Europe.
The TerMIT robotic complex is a modular tracked platform designed to operate near the front line. The complex can be used for logistical tasks, cargo delivery, engineering support, evacuation and fire support.
Tencore describes TermIT as a software-defined platform. This means that its operational capabilities can be expanded through software updates rather than hardware replacements. As a result, the same platform can quickly switch between multiple tasks.
According to Tencore, the TermIT complexes in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine have completed thousands of combat missions, which most modern Western military robotics programs still cannot achieve due to limited testing stages and production problems.
