The Israeli defense company Elbit Systems Ltd. presented at the ILA exhibition in Berlin a new development in the field of control of combat drones and autonomous systems. The E-LynX UXs communication module is designed to provide stable and secure communications, as well as continuous interaction between manned and unmanned platforms through a common secure network.
The hardware and software platform provides continuous communication with high bandwidth and fault tolerance for unmanned vehicles transmitting telemetry, command and control data, as well as payloads such as video and sensor data. The module is designed to increase situational awareness, improve communication, speed up decision-making and reduce the burden on military personnel in difficult combat conditions.
The system is based on the architecture of a mobile peer-to-peer network, which allows each connected platform to function both as a communications hub and as a repeater for other E-LynX radio stations. The new platform is characterized by low weight and low energy consumption, which makes it easy to integrate it into aerial, ground and marine unmanned systems, including those with minimal payload.
The device provides a unified and reliable communications infrastructure for MUM-T operations, enabling commanders and soldiers to exchange information in real time and provide operational control of unmanned systems. The concept of MUM-T is aimed at increasing the effectiveness of military missions through the synergy of humanity and autonomous platforms.
