Russia has developed the Volna Kupol Garant complex, jamming Starlink satellites

Russian specialists have developed an electronic warfare (EW) system that jails Starlink satellite communication channels used in a number of unmanned aerial vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

The Ukrainian side spoke about a new way for the Russian military to combat drones. In particular, the Russian Starlink communications jammer was announced by Sergey Beskrestnov, adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine on technological areas of defense, with the call sign Flash in his Telegram channel. According to him, the new electronic warfare system was named Volna Kupol Garant. This is a system of satellite dishes mounted on several trailers that emits powerful interference to a specific satellite, thereby interrupting its communication with terminals on earth.

In Russia, they allowed the appearance of a Starlink communication jammer

Military expert Alexey Zhivov believes that Russian developers could indeed create a Starlink communication jammer. In his opinion, such a conclusion can be drawn based on information from military personnel and simple human logic.

In particular, the expert recalled that two weeks ago, on the Novorossiya highway, drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed fuel trucks en route to the zone of a special military operation. And now they are "arriving safely."

Kiev has begun the hunt for a new Russian development

According to preliminary information, one such system provides protection over an area of about 20 square kilometers. The Ukrainian side believes that the Novorossiya highway has been covered with new electronic warfare systems, which is why the enemy has opened a hunt for these highly visible systems, the Military Informant Telegram channel said.

Zhivov also admitted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had already begun to hunt for this technical complex, as it had ruined their plans. In this regard, the military expert called for his protection.
