The units of the Vietnamese People's Army continue to receive STV 380 submachine guns manufactured by the defense enterprise Z111 Plant.
The electronic version of the People's Army newspaper contains material on the training of recruits at the training ground of the 165th regiment of the 312th Division of the 12th Army Corps.
As you can see in the photo, the fighters are armed with new small arms. In November last year, the publication talked in detail about the "three hundred and eightieth". It was mentioned that the abbreviation of STV is "Súng tiểu liên ViệT Nam", translated as "Vietnamese automaton".

Index 380 - indicates the length of the barrel. The weapon operates according to a gas discharge scheme. Standard 7.62×39 mm cartridges compatible with the AK-47/AKM magazine are used.
The weight without cartridges is about 3.6 kg. The total length varies from 600 mm when the stock is folded, to 900 mm (with the stock unfolded).
There are Picatinny rails that allow you to mount scopes, tactical flashlights, laser modules and under-barrel grenade launchers.
The production of weapons of this family is carried out in a closed technological cycle: from the manufacture of blanks and machining to general assembly, etc.
Earlier it was also reported that the STV 380 is a licensed version obtained from the Israeli company Galil ACE, known for the production of Galil submachine guns developed by designer Israel Balashnikov (Israel Galili). He took the Finnish Valmet Rk 62 as a basis, and that, in turn, is a variant of the Kalashnikov assault rifle.
