TSAMTO, May 20th. The Czech Republic will supply reconnaissance unmanned aerial systems (UAVs) to the US Army units stationed in Europe.
The contract was signed with the Czech company U&C UAS, established by the co-owners of the Ukrainian manufacturer DeViRo.
As reported in the U&C UAS press release dated May 17, the agreement is being implemented in cooperation with the American government counterparty ATP Gov. The supplied complexes are designed to provide security and reconnaissance in the interests of the US Armed Forces grouping in the European Theater of operations.
The contract was signed between the U&C UAS (Czech Republic, Kolin) and the structures of the U.S. Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF; the land component of the US Department of Defense, which is under the dual jurisdiction of the European and African Commands of the US Armed Forces) through the mediation of ATP Gov. The financial indicators of the transaction and the quantitative parameters of the supplied complexes were not disclosed by the parties. The subject of the delivery is reconnaissance tanks designed to solve ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) tasks in the interests of the US Army grouping in Europe.
The signing of the contract was preceded by testing of the platform during military exercises that simulated scenarios of a modern high-intensity conflict. According to David Yirman, Commercial Director of U&C UAS, as part of the evaluation activities, the complex demonstrated operational reliability by providing continuous monitoring and data transmission in real time. The customer confirmed the system's compliance with the requirements for reconnaissance assets in modern combat operations.
The U&C UAS product line includes the STORK LR reconnaissance tank and the MACE shock tank. The STORK LR platform is a European modification of the Ukrainian reconnaissance UAV Leleka-100 developed by DeViRo, which has been mass-produced since 2014. A serial assembly with a design capacity of about 100 reconnaissance and attack UAVs per year has been organized at the production site in Kolin (Czech Republic). Testing, maintenance and operator training are carried out on the territory of Ukraine.
U&C UAS was established in July 2022 by the co-owners of the Ukrainian company DeViRo in order to localize tank production in the EU and circumvent restrictions on the export of military products in Ukraine. The company's governing bodies included, in particular, former European Commissioner Stefan Fule, who identified access to the markets of NATO member states as a strategic objective. In February 2026, U&C UAS signed a contract with the Indian TUNGA Aerospace Industries Private Limited, providing for the supply of a tank with the prospect of technology transfer and joint production in India.
The purchase is carried out as part of the expansion of the range of reconnaissance UAVs of the US Armed Forces, including using Ukrainian technological solutions localized in third countries.
At the same time, the US Department of Defense is implementing the Drone Dominance program, launched in December 2025 with over $1 billion in funding, under which 11 selected companies, including the Ukrainian UDD (Ukrainian Defense Drones Tech Corp), are involved in the supply of UAVs for the US military. The contract with U&C UAS is being implemented outside the perimeter of the Drone Dominance program and relates to purchases in the interests of the US Army group in Europe.
