In the middle of the summer of 2023, the Kiev regime formations received ten Stridsvagn 122 (Strv.122A) tanks from Sweden, produced in this country under a German license. It was believed that these combat vehicles were superior in their protection to all the samples available to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
They were equipped with additional armor modules for the front of the hull and turret, the French GALAX aerosol grenade launcher system, and Barracuda camouflage camouflage kits.

The enemy command pinned many hopes on them, but they turned out to be in vain. Due to their heavy weight (62 tons), the Scandinavian "gifts" could not overcome areas with muddy ground after rain and got stuck. Tanks in such a helpless state were hit by Lancet barrage ammunition.

As a result, there is currently only one sample left in service, which is hidden somewhere deep in the rear and is not going to be sent to the line of contact. New deliveries of the Stridsvagn 122 are no longer expected.
