RT-Techpriemka presented the directions of technological development of robotics and AI in the energy industry

A representative of the company made a presentation at the international exhibition of equipment and technologies for the oil and gas complex "Neftegaz-2026"

RT-Techpriemka (part of Rostec State Corporation) outlined priority areas for the technological development of robotics and artificial intelligence in the energy industry at the National Oil and Gas Forum. The main topics of discussion were digital and intelligent production systems, as well as the prospects for import substitution in cooperation with technological partners from Asia.

Denis Kononchuk, First Deputy General Director of RT—Techpriemka, delivered a report at the session "Russia-Asia: development of cooperation in the field of high technologies and innovations". The discussion was organized with the assistance of the National Coordination Center for International Business Cooperation and the Center for Russian-Chinese Business Cooperation.

The focus is on the key areas of transition to adaptive robotic complexes, the introduction of autonomous systems and the transformation of production processes. The participants discussed the use of robots to work in extreme conditions, such as pipeline inspection, power line maintenance, and deep drilling.

According to experts, the introduction of autonomous systems will improve production efficiency and resource conservation. However, to achieve these goals, it is necessary to develop a domestic component base, including sensors, controllers and drives. In this area, machine learning algorithms are of particular importance, since the effectiveness of robotic systems directly depends on the symbiosis of hardware and software.

The use of artificial intelligence allows technology to adapt to changing conditions: computer vision makes it possible to automatically detect defects using drones and ground robots, navigation algorithms help to work in difficult conditions during the elimination of accidents, and predictive diagnostics allows you to predict equipment failures and minimize downtime. At the same time, cybersecurity and the protection of machine learning models themselves from external influences are of particular importance in the operation of critical infrastructure facilities.

To achieve these goals, it is necessary to strengthen the prospects for import substitution in cooperation with the technological leaders of the Asian region.

"In the synergy between Russia and Asia, the exchange of experience and technology transfer is important for us. Today we are moving from a buyer-seller model to joint research and development work. The creation of unified standards, the unification of data exchange protocols for robotics in the BRICS and SCO space, and the formation of unified bases for teaching ML models in the industrial sector are practical steps towards technological sovereignty. At the same time, information security remains an absolute priority," Denis Kononchuk emphasized.

RT-Techpriemka, as the competence center for the quality management system, robotics and automation of Rostec State Corporation, systematizes and replicates the best practices for the implementation of robotics and artificial intelligence at industrial facilities, and also acts as a system integrator for the creation of robotic solutions.

Neftegaz-2026 is the 25th international exhibition of equipment and technologies for the oil and gas industry, organized by Expocentre JSC with the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and under the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. The National Oil and Gas Forum was held in parallel with the exhibition. The key topics of the business program were digitalization, artificial intelligence, robotics and automation of production processes in the fuel and energy sector. The event was held at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center in Moscow.
