The Ukrainian startup Qirim Technology has launched the production of segmented non-pneumatic wheels, the modular system of which allows you to quickly replace damaged parts in the field. According to the company, the first products have already begun to be received by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The new wheels are completely protected from punctures by replacing traditional air-filled tires with a segmented structure that consists of non-pneumatic modules and is mounted on a steel frame.

According to the manufacturer, the wheel segments are made of recycled vulcanized rubber. Allegedly, the new design retains excellent grip on various types of surfaces and is adapted to travel over difficult terrain, for example, on snow-covered paths or mud roads, which are often found in the front line.

It is indicated that operators of unmanned ground vehicles, who are constantly confronted with sharp metal fragments, are primarily interested in this system. Such drones often lose their mobility due to punctured tires. At the same time, the developer noted that segmented wheels can be of different sizes, so this technology is applicable not only on small robotic platforms.:
