MBDA Deutschland (Germany) has introduced a new configuration of the Boxer armored vehicle, which is equipped with an updated combat station, formerly known as the Boxer Overwatch, with the Brimstone SL ATGM attached to it. Now this missile launcher, shown as a concept, is located in a tower on the roof in the center and is equipped with 9 missiles (instead of 16 or 8 as before), being capable of carrying out circular destruction of armored vehicles, operating at 360 °.

In this modification, the Boxer is designed to become an anti-tank vehicle operating as part of heavy combat formations. The new technology will replace the previous systems equipped with such ATGMs as Swingfire, Javelin, NLAW and ASM. According to the developer, the installation of Brimstone missiles on the Boxer provides high-precision destruction of armored vehicles at long range without modification of the chassis, while maintaining the basic characteristics of mobility and protection.

As expected, the multiple launch launch mode will allow hitting multiple targets simultaneously. The Brimstone rocket weighs 50 kg, has a length of 1.8 m and a diameter of 180 mm, and is equipped with a tandem cumulative warhead with an adaptive fuse. The guidance system combines an ANN, a radar seeker operating in the millimeter wavelength range (94 GHz), and semi-active laser targeting. In the ground launch configuration, the range reaches 20 km. Allegedly, the probability of hitting is more than 98% for stationary, moving and maneuvering targets.
