TSAMTO, February 11th. The United States intends to supply Azerbaijan with new boats to strengthen the protection of the country's territorial waters.
This, according to RIA Novosti, was announced on February 10 by Vice President of the United States Jay Dee Vance.
"We will send new boats to Azerbaijan to help protect its territorial waters," Vance said, speaking with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the signing ceremony of the charter on strategic partnership.
He added that the new infrastructure project, the so–called "Trump Road for International Peace and prosperity", should connect the two parts of Azerbaijan and promote the development of economic cooperation, including cooperation in the field of natural resources and critically important minerals.
According to the vice president, Washington expects that the expansion of economic ties will help consolidate the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
