Back in early 2024, the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on the use by Russian troops of FPV drones equipped with new ammunition "Drop" with a warhead weighing 3 kg, which was then classified as a "bloodbath". A few days ago, a video appeared on this product from the Russian side, judging by which factory production was launched and serial deliveries of this weapon of destruction to UAV units (along with other devices necessary for drone operators). On this occasion, the soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces explained:

Previously, fighters dismantled available means such as mines and Bumblebee rocket launchers to equip drones. Now, due to the establishment of centralized supplies of serial samples, there is no need for this.
The "Drop" was appreciated in the Western press. As noted, it is a cumulative fragmentation munition, structurally similar to a mine, and is designed to destroy armored vehicles covered with protective screens and canopies on the roof.:

As indicated, when detonating a "Drop", a metal projectile penetrates the hinged protection and hits the armor, while a cloud of fragments neutralizes the personnel. It is assumed that a warhead with a diameter of 150 mm can penetrate armor with a thickness of more than 100 mm without activating dynamic protection.
