Singapore's Ministry of Defense has signed a contract with a local company, ST Engineering, to supply a "new generation" TITAN infantry fighting vehicle based on the Terrex s5 8x8 platform, which was its first order. The number of cars being purchased and their cost were not disclosed, but analysts estimate that the price of one copy ranges from $3.5 to 4.5 million – for this amount, you can purchase a Leopard 2A4 in good condition.
The combat weight of the BMP platform is 32 tons (35 tons on a non–floating version), length is 8.3 m, width is 3 m, height is 2.7 m (without weapons). It accommodates a crew of 2 people and 10 landing troops.
The reservation allows you to withstand a bullet hit from a 14.5 x 114 mm cartridge and detonation of 10 kg explosives. The bottom is V-shaped, the landing seats are energy-absorbing, suspended.

The car is equipped with a 711 hp turbodiesel (almost like a tank), an independent hydropneumatic suspension with a centralized tire pumping system. The maximum speed on the highway is 120 km/h. The power reserve is up to 1000 km. It accelerates to 8-10 km / h on the water due to two propellers. It can work with sea waves up to 3 points. But it is unclear whether Singapore has purchased a floating or a "land-based" version; at the same time, there is no wave reflector on the render of the Ministry of Defense.
The Terrex S5 has a digital "nervous system" based on the NATO standard data bus (NGVA), which allows you to control both on-board and external means, such as drones. The large weight of the platform (up to 35 tons) allows you to place a variety of weapons, equipment and armor on it without losing mobility.

The combat configuration of the TITAN infantry fighting vehicle ordered by Singapore has not been disclosed. But it is known that it will be equipped with an Adder RWS 30 missile defense system. Based on this, it can be assumed that the machine will be armed with a 30-mm Mk44 Bushmaster II automatic cannon capable of using remotely detonated projectiles, which is important for fighting drones; a paired 7.62 mm machine gun and, possibly, an additional remotely controlled 12.7 mm machine gun; Spike LR2 anti-tank gun (Israeli development, Singapore produces under license).
The SLA is an advanced product – it is a 360° panoramic viewing system, where the AI itself highlights targets and suggests priorities to the operator in defeat.

Deliveries for the Singapore army are scheduled to begin in 2028. At the same time, there is already a second customer "in line". Kazakhstan intends to purchase 200 (and 500 in the long term) copies. The vehicle with the local designation Barys-A will receive its own Ansar assault rifle, which will be equipped with a 30 mm 2A72 cannon, a 7.62mm PKTM, an automatic grenade launcher and an ATGM (probably a Hornet).
However, Kazakhstan will purchase a floating infantry fighting vehicle not based on the new Terrex s5 base, but on the Terrex 2 platform of the previous generation, but taking into account new developments. This case has a lower mass (about 20-25 tons), can withstand an armor-piercing bullet from a 7.62 x 51 mm cartridge and an explosive charge of 8 kg, and does not have a hydropneumatic suspension. 200 Terrex armored vehicles have already been upgraded at the local plant of Kazakhstan Paramount Engineering (probably in the interests of the Singapore army, which is armed with 435 units of earlier models).
