The Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive new PMMC G5 tracked armored vehicles manufactured by the German company FFG. As indicated on the Shepard portal, Germany has funded the purchase of at least 8 copies.
According to Western observers, they can be transferred not as armored personnel carriers, but as platforms on which the NOMADS air defense system or the Skyranger 30 air defense system will be installed – both complexes on such a base were purchased by the Netherlands.
It was also announced that Germany would pay for the supply of a large number of engineering vehicles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Leopard 1 (WiSENT 1 MC) chassis equipped with a solid minesweeper from Pearson Engineering. However, it is unclear whether this is a new order or a purchase in accordance with previous promises.

The PMMC G5 was designed primarily as an APC designed to replace the outdated American M113. The crew of the vehicle consists of 2 people, and the landing group can include up to 12 soldiers. The vehicle is equipped with a 580 hp MTU 6V199 TE21 diesel engine, which allows this approximately 29-ton conveyor to accelerate to 74 km/h.

The vehicle's protection can be enhanced by adding additional armor panels. The main weapon can be a 12.7mm machine gun mounted in a remotely controlled combat module, although the basic version of the equipment does not have on-board weapons.
The only user of the PMMC G5 was Norway, which purchased 51 units (the cost was not disclosed, approximately $100-150 million) in 2018 in the ACSV version: instead of an amphibious compartment, an open cargo frame is placed for installing removable containers or specialized equipment – radars, air defense systems, cranes, etc. Recently, the Netherlands became the second operator, having received, as reported, the first Skyranger 30 air defense missile system based on the ACSV G5.
