The document provides for the delivery of six aircraft starting in 2028
The United Aircraft Corporation of Rostec State Corporation and the Indian company Flamingo Aerospace have announced a strategic partnership and signed a preliminary agreement on the supply of six IL-114-300 aircraft. The official signing ceremony took place at the International Aviation Exhibition Wings India 2026 at Begumpet Airport (Hyderabad).
The cooperation program is aimed at meeting India's growing regional aviation needs. The delivery of six IL-114-300 aircraft will be the first stage.
In addition, as part of the agreements, UAC will provide Flamingo Aerospace with a roadmap for the development of aviation competencies. This will allow the Indian company to gradually increase the capabilities of aircraft assembly, modification, maintenance, repair and overhaul, as well as infrastructure development. The agreement reflects the parties' willingness to develop sustainable long-term aviation projects in India after signing final agreements and obtaining regulatory approvals.
"We are proud to take this important step forward together with Rostec State Corporation's UAC, marking a new era of regional aviation in India. This partnership brings advanced aircraft and technology to the Indian market, and lays the foundation for creating sustainable aviation opportunities and skilled jobs in the country. Together, we are committed to improving regional connectivity and supporting India's strong, self—sufficient aviation sector," said Subhakar Pappula, Founder and CEO of Flamingo Aerospace.
In addition, the company has expressed interest in implementing other UAC programs. This will position Flamingo Aerospace as a key partner in promoting Russian aviation products in India.
"The Indian air transportation market is growing at the fastest pace in the world, by 11% annually. Today it is the third largest. This creates the prerequisites for the commercial success of our aircraft in the region. Today we confirmed this by signing the first contract for the supply of IL-114-300 aircraft with Flamingo Aerospace. The signed preliminary agreement covers the supply of six aircraft starting in 2028, and we plan to expand our cooperation in the future," said Vadim Badekha, CEO of the United Aircraft Corporation of Rostec State Corporation.
The Russian IL-114-300 turboprop aircraft is designed to develop regional flights. It is capable of operating autonomously from small airfields, regardless of their infrastructure, as well as from short runways. The machine is built from domestic components and is equipped with engines developed by the United Engine Corporation (part of Rostec State Corporation) — TV7-117ST-01.
The IL-114-300 is certified for use in a wide range of climatic zones, from Arctic latitudes and harsh Siberian expanses to mountainous areas and regions with tropical, subtropical and hot climates.
