At the DIMDEX 2026 exhibition in Doha (Qatar), the Turkish company BMC presented the Altuğ 8x8 infantry fighting vehicle equipped with an uninhabited SARP 100/35 turret from ASELSAN. As expected, this configuration will make it possible to cope with UAVs and light armored vehicles, "effectively fighting on the front line, including in densely populated cities." The developer believes that the new machine is optimally adapted for the theater of operations near the Persian Gulf.
The new product is positioned as a highly mobile and survivable platform capable of carrying up to 12 people, with a crew of 3 fighters and space for 9 paratroopers. The Caterpillar C13 powerplant has 711 hp, it is connected to the Allison 4000 series transmission, the maximum speed on the road is 110 km/h, the claimed power reserve is more than 800 km. A fully-controlled four-axle chassis with power steering is used for maneuvering in dense urban areas.
High maneuverability will allow you to successfully operate over rough terrain. In particular, the machine is capable of overcoming fords up to 120 cm deep, vertical obstacles 60 cm high, trenches 220 cm wide; ground clearance is more than 40 cm.
The SARP 100/35 is a stabilized, uninhabited turret with a 35mm automatic cannon with short and long bursts of fire, as well as single shots. The combat-ready tank has 100 shells (plus 200 spare ones). The automatic loader was specially designed for the simultaneous use of several types of ammunition, so that the crew could choose the means of destruction depending on the target (armor-piercing, cumulative and OFFSET; it is possible to use projectiles with programmable detonation).

In addition, the SARP 100/35 can be equipped with either a 7.62mm machine gun with up to 3,750 rounds of ammunition, or a 12.7mm machine gun with 2,000 rounds of ammunition. It is also possible to install a remote-controlled combat module with a 7.62/12.7mm machine gun or a 40 mm grenade launcher. Smoke grenade launchers are installed on the sides of the tower.
The SARP 100/35 provides unlimited horizontal rotation and elevation from -10° to +45°. Allegedly, the high speed of its movement allows it to quickly respond to emerging targets, including small UAVs. Depending on the configuration and protection level, the weight of the turret ranges from 3.75 to 4.5 tons; it is able to withstand a bullet hit of 7.62 mm x 39.
A wide range of Altuğ survivability tools includes options such as a laser radiation warning system, a remote control system and means of circular monitoring of the situation.
