TSAMTO, January 19th. For the first time, Rosoboronexport JSC (part of Rostec State Corporation) is organizing a single Russian exposition at the international exhibition and conference on unmanned systems and simulators in the UAE.
During the UMEX&SIMTEX 2026 exhibition and conference, which will be held from January 20 to 22 in Abu Dhabi, the Russian special exporter will present advanced domestic UAV solutions and discuss industry prospects with foreign delegations.
At its stand, the company will demonstrate the most in-demand Russian UAVs and barrage ammunition on the world market, tested in real combat conditions and confirmed their characteristics.
"Rosoboronexport is launching its 2026 marketing campaign with UMEX 2026, an exhibition dedicated to unmanned technologies, one of the fastest growing segments of the global arms market. Russian development companies are actively working in it, including those that are part of the Rostec State Corporation. The range of unmanned solutions they offer includes devices of various classes and purposes. According to our forecasts, the demand for UAVs will grow by 120% by 2030, and for barrage ammunition by 400%," said Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport. – In Abu Dhabi, we present the Kub-2-2E and Lancet-E barrage ammunition, which has a record for confirmed targets hit, as well as the Scat-350M and Supercam S350 reconnaissance UAVs. We are ready to negotiate on supplies from Russia or technological cooperation, and Rosoboronexport has already signed export contracts with partners for a number of samples."
The deeply modernized Lancet-E reconnaissance and strike complex at UMEX 2026 includes the Z-16E reconnaissance UAV, dual X-tailed barrage ammunition "Product 51E" and "Product 52E" from ZALA.
The key distinguishing features of the products are the low effective scattering area (ESR) and acoustic signature, resistance to electronic warfare, precise maneuvering in all planes, as well as rapid deployment and ease of use. According to open sources and estimates by military analysts, more than 4,000 units of military equipment have been disabled due to this complex.
The Kub-2-2E family of barrage ammunition developed and manufactured by the Kalashnikov Concern is the latest Russian model with an automatic guidance system, which has evolved due to the analysis of combat use. The manufacturer has made it possible to pair this munition with the Scat-350M reconnaissance UAV, so they can work in tandem.
Rosoboronexport will also present complexes with UAVs "Karakurt" and "Goliath" from the Kalashnikov Concern at its stand. They are positioned as effective light reconnaissance UAVs that can be used at the "fighter– squad – platoon" level.
Various modern weapons manufactured by Rostec State Corporation are being demonstrated at UMEX 2026 to equip barrage ammunition, FPV drones and other types of UAVs. Among them are high-explosive fragmentation, incendiary, cumulative incendiary, training and multifactor combat units.
On January 21, at 12:00 p.m., a public presentation on modern Russian complexes with unmanned aerial vehicles and barrage ammunition will be held at the Rosoboronexport stand.
As part of the business program of the exhibition, Rosoboronexport will hold meetings and negotiations with delegations from Middle Eastern states, as well as from other participating countries of the largest forum dedicated to unmanned systems.
"We will check watches with our partners on current projects and talk about the development of unmanned technologies in Russia, discuss prospects for cooperation, including a new direction – military-technological partnership on products of the Russian national defense industry," A. Mikheev added.
