TSAMTO, January 15th. The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Valery Gerasimov, checked the progress of combat missions by formations and military units of the GDV "Center" operating in the Dnepropetrovsk direction in the area of the SVO.
During his work at the Center command post, Army General Valery Gerasimov heard reports from the commanders of the 2nd and 51st armies, commanders of formations, and other officials on the current situation in the area of responsibility and the results of combat missions.
At the end of the work, the Chief of the General Staff summed up the interim results with the command of the Center group of forces, noting the successes in the liberation of the Donetsk People's Republic, and set tasks for further actions, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

- Formations and military units of the Dnepr group are advancing towards the city of Zaporizhia, the settlements of Belogorye and Novobaykovskoye have been liberated.
- The most stubborn battles unfolded in the area of responsibility of the Center group of forces. Formations and military units of the Center group, having completed the liquidation of the encircled enemy and the liberation of the cities of Krasnoarmeysk and Dimitrov, are developing an offensive, continuing the liberation of the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic.
- The command of the armed forces of Ukraine by any means, regardless of losses, seeks to stop our offensive. However, thanks to the courage and heroism of Russian soldiers and officers, the painstaking and well-coordinated work of the headquarters, as well as the confident leadership of subordinate formations and military units by commanders and commanders, these enemy plans were thwarted.
- Fighting continues to destroy units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city of Konstantinovka.
- The troops of the Zapad group are actively developing an offensive in the Krasnolimansk direction.
- After Kupyansk was liberated in November last year by units of the Zapad group, the enemy made several attempts to demonstrate their alleged presence in the city. The Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted, among other things, to install Ukrainian flags on administrative buildings in Kupyansk using drones. These actions were suppressed. In the Kupyansk direction, the troops of the Zapad group continue to eliminate the Armed Forces of Ukraine formations surrounded on the eastern bank of the Oskol River. The liberation of Kupyansk-Uzlovaya is coming to an end.
- The Vostok group of troops, having completed the liberation of Gulyai-Pole and crossed the Gaichur River, is developing an offensive in the Zaporizhia region and at the same time expanding the security zone in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
- The southern group of troops, having liberated Seversk, is actively moving westward in the general direction of Slavyansk.
- In two weeks of January, eight settlements were liberated and more than 300 square kilometers of territory came under our control.
- The North group of troops continues to carry out tasks to expand the security zone in the border areas of Sumy and Kharkiv regions of Ukraine. Grabovskoye and Komarovka were liberated during the first two weeks of January 2026.
The offensive of formations and military units of the United Group of Forces is conducted in almost all directions.
