The Kawasaki Robot
Kawasaki has announced the display of a full-fledged working model of its robot horse at Expo 2030. Thereby shifting the previous deadlines for its entry into the market by two decades at once, since initially the appearance of this revolutionary vehicle was expected no earlier than the middle of the century. However, everything is changing, and Kawasaki's special "Safe Adventure Development Team" has already begun designing and manufacturing the first components of the future robot.
This platform was presented as a concept last year, it received the working name CORLEO. This is a kind of analogue of a mountain bike, the wheeled chassis of which has been replaced with four limbs. This modification significantly improves the all-terrain properties of the platform and allows it to overcome obstacles that wheeled vehicles are powerless against.
The Kawasaki Robot
It is assumed that the robot horse will receive a hydrogen power plant that will generate energy for electric motors in each of the four limbs. Nothing is known about the robot's payload and battery life yet, but it is already clear that it will work under AI control. This is necessary for laying the optimal path over rough terrain and maneuvering around obstacles. The horse robot is expected to go on sale in 2035, when the "childhood diseases" of the first model will be eliminated. Until then, everyone who wants to ride this unusual car will be able to use a special simulator based on virtual reality. Its development is carried out in parallel with the creation of the robot itself, so many of their nodes are unified, as well as the software.
