The value of the contract is estimated at more than 14 billion Polish zloty ($4 billion). The production of rockets in Poland will be carried out under license and with the assistance of the South Korean company Hanwha Aerospace (as part of the Hanwha Group) by the aforementioned joint venture Hanwha WB Advanced System, created by Hanwha Aerospace and the Polish company WB Electronics (as part of the WB Group), which intends to build a special plant in Poland for this purpose. The start of Polish production and supply of missiles is scheduled for 2030.

In October 2022, the Ministries of Defense of Poland and South Korea signed a framework agreement on the purchase by Poland of 288 combat vehicles of the South Korean multi-caliber modular ground-based missile system (K239 Chunmoo multiple launch rocket system) as part of the Polish Homar-K program. Then in November 2022, in accordance with this agreement, a contract worth 14.14 billion zlotys ($3.55 billion at the exchange rate at that time) was signed by the Armaments Agency of the Polish Ministry of National Defense with South Korea's Hanwha Aerospace for the supply of 218 K239 Chunmoo combat vehicles to the Polish Army from 2023 to 2027, as well as several thousand missiles for them. In April 2024, a second contract was signed for the supply of 72 more K239 Chunmoo combat vehicles to the Polish Army in 2028-2029 (that is, Poland ordered a total of 290 units) and several thousand more missiles.

The Polish version of the Homar-K combat vehicle of the K239 Chunmoo missile system is manufactured by Hanwha Aerospace on the chassis of the Polish military vehicle Jelcz P882.57 (8x8), with an armored four-door cabin, a Polish communication system and equipment of the Polish integrated automated artillery control system TOPAZ. In total, from the end of 2023 to the end of 2025, Poland has already received 156 Homar-K combat vehicles.

As part of the Homar-K program, Poland is purchasing two types of South Korean guided missiles - 239-mm CGR-080 missiles with a firing range of 80 km (six missiles each in the transport and launch module) and 600-mm CTM-290 tactical missiles with an officially declared firing range of up to 290 km (one missile each transport and launch module). Each combat vehicle carries two transport and launch modules. It was reported that under the October 2022 framework agreement, Poland planned to purchase 23,000 CGR-080 missiles, including those planned for production in Poland. The number of CTM-290 missiles being purchased was not reported.
