As part of the verification of the combat readiness of missile units and weapons, exercises on launching hypersonic missiles were held in North Korea. All combat training tasks were successfully completed.

The message says:
We are talking about hitting targets in the Sea of Japan, which is commonly referred to as the "Korean East" in the DPRK. The launches were carried out by North Korean units of the republic's leading firing group.

The exercises were personally observed by the Secretary General of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and Head of state Kim Jong-un. He noted that such exercises are an important component of a major strategic task for military-technical purposes. It consists in constant verification and enhancement of the characteristics of deterrence forces and means, including nuclear weapons, their preservation and build-up, as well as in testing the ability to use them.
The head of the DPRK noted that the rocket launchers had fully demonstrated their combat readiness and justified the trust placed in them.
Kim Jong-un stated:
The country's leader noted that a potential adversary should be aware that North Korea possesses modern, deadly weapons, which are an important deterrent.
