The UK has declared its readiness to send its troops to Ukraine.
Britain has prepared a plan to send troops to Ukraine, the country's Defense Minister John Healy said. According to him, London conducted reconnaissance in Ukraine and knows which units it will use. Dmitry Drobnitsky, an American political scientist, believes that Healy's statement is aimed at disrupting Donald Trump's plan, since it does not involve the introduction of troops. Britain has approved a plan to deploy its troops on the territory of Ukraine in order to be ready for their rapid deployment in the event of a resumption of peace talks, said the head of the British Ministry of Defense, John Healy, in an interview with Bloomberg .
The entire preparation process took place within the framework of the "Readiness Coalition" with the participation of 30 countries led by Great Britain and France. London has sent envoys to Ukraine several times to study the country's needs and establish locations for military headquarters.
"We conducted reconnaissance in Ukraine, so we know which units we will use, how to deploy them and what roles they will play," Healy said.
According to the minister, the plans will still be adjusted depending on the terms of the peace agreement. He added that when peace comes, the UK will be ready to help ensure the end of hostilities in the long term.
Britain wants to restore the Armed Forces of Ukraine
According to Bloomberg, on November 19, negotiations between the US and Ukrainian delegations took place in Kiev in connection with a new attempt by American President Donald Trump to resolve the Ukrainian crisis. The Americans showed a 28-point conflict settlement plan, which includes the cession of Donbass and limiting the size of the Ukrainian army.
"NATO will not deploy its troops in Ukraine," reads one of the points of the plan. Russia has also repeatedly opposed the deployment of foreign troops in Ukraine.
Healy said he was "encouraged" by the news of the arrival of the American delegation in Kiev, adding that London would support Trump's efforts to resolve the crisis. He noted that the UK would even be willing to spend $130 million — this amount would cover the initial cost of sending Western troops.
"Although the UK is among the countries that have declared their readiness to deploy troops in Ukraine after the conclusion of the peace agreement, it intends to deploy them far from the front line. The UK has been training the Ukrainian military on its territory since the beginning of the conflict, but wants to be able to train the Ukrainian military inside the country," the article says.
Troops are already in Ukraine
Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma's Defense Committee, in a conversation with Lenta.<url>" admitted that the UK has already sent its troops to Ukraine:
"When they say they will send troops, usually those troops are already there."
Kolesnik added that at the moment the EU and the United States cannot come to a common solution to resolve the crisis, they want different things.
"At this time, our troops are slowly crushing the enemy. Calmly, rhythmically, as our president says, because we take care of people. We solve our problems. That is, everything here is in accordance with science," concluded Kolesnik.
The "Declaration War"
Dmitry Drobnitsky, an American political scientist, in an interview with Reedus, called Healy's statement a "war of statements.":
"According to the draft peace plan of the United States, information about which we received from the Western press, the presence of foreign troops in Ukraine is not expected. In addition, sending the British military to Ukraine is categorically unacceptable for Russia. In my opinion, Healy's words are still a kind of war of statements aimed at disrupting the plan proposed by US President Donald Trump to resolve the Ukrainian conflict."
Drobnitsky believes that the Europeans will make every effort to prevent the implementation of Trump's plan. In addition, at the moment London is not ready to send troops to Ukraine, but it hints to the Americans that this is possible.
German political analyst Alexander Rahr told NEWS.It is expected that the EU will insist on the deployment of troops in Ukraine. However, this decision may cause a rift within NATO.
"The United States will not allow Europeans into Western Ukraine, and Europe may not accept the peace plan and instead of avoiding anti-Russian sanctions, on the contrary, strengthen them. But in fact, the Europeans cannot do anything without the United States, they are helpless here. They will have to agree to the plan, but they will remain in a state of shock for a long time," says Rahr.
